I did the line art for this during a live stream on a whim.
This comic showcases the effective "range" on this drink to trigger a fusion. And as you can see, you can be quite a ways away and still have the effect take place. This is due mostly because it's a nice, wide-open area they're in.
While Ruly-Drinks have crazy side-effects, they are named after real life drinks, and they do taste like their real-life counter parts. So the sweet-toothed Zel, under desperate conditions, could be seen drinking a Ruly-Ichigo for it's sweet flavor. BUT little did she know that Hazel was drinking one too across the courtyard!

That's has to be a very good range for the drinks to merge in... guess Fasen should check the labels a lil better XD
